For the Wadsworth’s Styling Identities exhibit, two video installations were created. The dual-channel installation, My Hair Helps Me Remember, features participants sharing their distinct experiences related to their hair. The second installation, Elevated Seats, is an immersive projection offering viewers a look inside Hartford hair salons.

Cuatro Bailes is a multichannel video installation that premiered at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. The work immerses viewers with four large screens displaying vignettes filmed in Hartford and Puerto Rico. The narrative follows two lovers whose improvised dances, set to the rhythm of bomba music, thread the piece together. These dances guide the audience through dreamlike sequences of the island in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
This short documentary, commissioned by the non-profit Mary & Eliza Freeman Center, delves into the powerful history of Little Liberia in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Little Liberia was a prosperous community of freed people of color and a significant outpost of the Underground Railroad. The project aims to preserve the legacy of this once-thriving area, of which only two original structures remain today.
