Pedro Bermúdez is an accomplished filmmaker and educator whose work spans cinema, theater, and immersive media. He is the director of the Digital Design Commons at Wesleyan University, where he teaches videography and virtual production.
Bermúdez's production credits include the Emmy-award winning documentary, Collision Course (CT Public), and his recent co-direction of the Obie-Award winning play, Sanctuary City (Theaterworks). He has also collaborated with prominent Connecticut arts and culture institutions, creating a series of video installations for the Wadsworth’s acclaimed Styling Identities exhibit.
He is currently completing a new film, Mary When You Follow Her, an adaptation of a story by New York Times Best-selling author, Carmen Maria Machado, which is slated to premiere in the fall of 2026.
Bermúdez received his MFA in Directing from the American Film Institute, where he was mentored by Frank Pierson and Gill Dennis and was recognized with the Petrie Award for excellence.
